When traveling, there’s nothing I love more than to go to local markets. Yesterday, I went to an excellent traditional market in Taipei that was bustling with ladies doing their Sunday shopping and haggling over fruits, vegetables, raw meats, fish and prepared foods.
The market was cramped and crowded, filled with pungent smells of raw seafood and live chickens and a particular air of frenzy I haven’t witnessed elsewhere in Taipei. A couple older ladies rolled their shopping carts right over my feet while I was taking pictures and I could hardly blame them.
