There was a box of Jelly Belly BeanBoozled jelly beans and a vintage box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans in my Easter basket this morning! The BeanBoozled box is a gastronome’s Russian roulette — the white jelly bean could taste like either coconut or baby wipes and there’s no way to tell until you start chewing. The baby wipes flavor happened to be the flavor of the first jelly bean I tried. I was kind of disappointed at first because I thought it was coconut but then that unmistakable soapy, astringent baby wipe flavor assaulted my trigeminal senses. The other flavors listed on the box are skunk spray, pencil shavings, moldy cheese, toothpaste, rotten egg, ear wax, booger, vomit, and black pepper. I haven’t opened the box of Bertie Bott’s yet but there are three additional flavors, sausage, sardine, and pickle.
